GM discontinued the factory 3800 lifter trays, leaving 3800 owners with fewer good options for engine rebuilds and repairs. The factory trays were thin, cast plastic pieces that were designed for mass production, not long-term performance use.
ZZP 3800 Black Nylon Lifter Trays are a direct-fit upgrade for Series II and Series III 3800 engines. Unlike the original GM trays, ours are CNC machined from rigid black nylon and built with a thicker, stronger design. They install using the factory bolts and provide a more durable solution for worn, brittle, or discontinued OEM trays.
These are a great choice for stock rebuilds, mild performance builds, and anyone looking for a stronger, machined replacement over the original factory part.
For customers who want the best version available, we also offer our green ZZP Nyloil Lifter Trays. The green version uses the same upgraded machined design, but with our premium oil-impregnated Nyloil material for improved wear and friction properties.
