ZZP 1.4L Tensioner Guide

Continuing on the success of our Ecotec timing chain guide we have decided to bring the same material and upgrades to platforms outside of the Ecotec. Our 1.4L upgraded tensioner guide is made from a single machined piece of slick oil impregnated material and eliminates the stock two piece sliding design. 

While the stock timing system is adequate for stock power levels, you run into some issues as these cars age and you look to make more power and increase the rev limit. Our ZZP guide is made of a slicker material which results in less noise overall from the timing system, as well as less friction on the chain. We also increased thickness and in key areas to achieve an overall stiffer product that is less prone to any sort of deflection. Our material is much stronger than the stock plastic and will not get brittle over time; on our test applications you could still see the machining marks and no wear after 10k plus miles. 

Made of the same extremely durable material as our ZZP supercharger couplers this guide is stronger than stock and more resistant to wear and breakage than the stock plastic material.

This guide replaces OEM part number 55565005, which is circled in the exploded parts diagram. 

Fits: 2012-2020 Chevrolet Sonic 1.4L, 2011-2016.5 Chevrolet Cruze 1.4L, 2014-2016 Cadillac ELR, 2011-2016 Chevrolet Volt, 2013-2021 Buick Encore 1.4L, and 2015-2021 Chevrolet Trax 1.4L.
